KICHAA - Rara Heaven On Earth (Raijuma)

Описание: Around this time last year, I took a life changing trip to Rara Lake with few of my good friends. Not only was I blessed to witness the beauty of the Majestic lake, it was also my first time ever travelling to the remote districts of Nepal.I have lived almost all my life in Kathmandu, this city for me was what Nepal looked like. This trip shifted my perspective and gratitude towards my country.

The Rara Lake is the biggest and deepest fresh water lake in the Nepal Himalayas. It is the main feature of Rara National Park, located in Jumla and Mugu district. At the surface elevation of 2290m, it covers 9.8 square kilometres of land. It is one of the most beautiful destination to visit in Nepal.

"Raijuma" is a folk Folk tune locals sing in the far western reason of Nepal. The sound I used on this track was a recording of a boat man singing a song for us while rowing us across the lake on our way back home. I was absolutely mesmerised by the tune and decided to make a track out of it and this is what came up with.

This was my first ever attempt on making a film. I used to watch a lots of Casey Niestat Vlogs at this point of time. Hence, a lots of speed-ramped time-lapses :D :D. I filmed it entirely on my Canon G7X and GoPro. It was an amazing experience making it, I hope you enjoy watching it as much too ... Cheers!
