At ERREC — Preserving the Past. Moving It Into the Future, we are standing at a moment that may never come again. Right now, we have the opportunity to save the historic Rock Island “Jane Marie” lounge railcar—but only if we act together, and only if we act now.

The Jane Marie is not just a railcar. She is a piece of living history. She carried people, stories, and memories across the rails, and today she is depending on us to give her a future. If we fail to step in, this irreplaceable piece of railroad heritage could be lost forever.

We want to be completely honest with you. ERREC currently owns no railcars. We don’t have Redwood Empire. We don’t have Pine Grove. We don’t have Silver Iris. What we do have is a mission, a plan, and a community—and this is our one real chance to begin.

We have already secured a home for the Jane Marie. We are ready. But readiness alone does not move steel. It takes funding to cover acquisition, inspections, certification, and the complicated process of moving her safely on the national rail network behind BNSF. Without that support, time will run out.
