Today on our 2015 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at the inaudible 00:00:04 hijacker auto slide fifth wheel trailer hitch. Part number DM850034.This hitch is going to provide you with 18,000 pounds gross weight rating, it's going to give you 14 inches of travel to the very back, it's going to have a single jaw system which makes for a tighter fit around your king pin.To activate the jaw system, when hooking up to your trailer, you simply pull the safety pin and clip, slide your handle out, and you'll see how the draw spreads apart. Once you lock the handle open, when you back your king pin in, or back up to your trailer, it's going to spread this apart just a little bit. What it's going to do, it's going to put pressure on this side, which is going to release the handle lock and allow the jaw to close.You're going to have guide rails here and that's what sets this apart from others. These guide rails can be adjusted depending on the size of your pin box. All you would do is once you have your pin box, or you're attached to your fifth wheel, you're going to take these rails, going to loosen them up, slide them in, up against your pin box and then tighten them back into place.

They're always going to be set there.Not only does the auto slide give us plenty of travel front to back, for turning tight corners with that fifth wheel trailer but our head is going to give this forward directions of movement which is going to allow us to safely pull our trailer on unlevel ground. We got side to side movement and front to back. And it's also going to have a nice black powder coat finish that's going to resist any rust or corrosion.Once you have your slider attached to your bed rails, you're going to have a large pin. It's going to slide out of the center, go ahead and pull that out. Then you're going to take the head, in your kit, you're going to have a little rubber piece like this, it's going to go inside this hole.

This is a dampener. What that does is it keeps the steel parts from knocking together. And we'll take this, our head, you can see, right here, we're gonna take this part, we're going to slide it right in between these two. Take this large pin, throw our pin on the other side.Once your done installing the head, go ahead and install your handle, it's going to come with a nut and a bolt, use two 14 millimeter inaudible 00:02:58, tighten that into place. After installing your handle, you're ready to hook up to your trailer.
