Описание: Argus is the only stallion in the world that successfully performed in Grand Prix jumping and in international dressage. In the USA Argus qualified in the finals for dressage in the American Shows Association Championship and in the Californian Dressage Soc. Horse of the Year Championship. In California he became champion. In Mexico in international jumping competition he won second place in the Pacific Coast Championship. At the horse show in Monterey, California, he also won the championships. His greatest success was winning the Silver Star Mercedes Benz Jumping Derby at Foxfield Academy.

As a 7 year old Argus was placed first in the future potential class at the Pacific Coast Horse Show in North California. In 1989 Argus started jumping at Grand Prix level and in the first year was placed amongst the best five every time he competed. He won the GP at Showpark of Delmar and Sundance GP at the Arizona Winner Circuit in 1991. As a dressage sire he held many titles including 1989 CDA Res Champion 4th level Horse of the Year.

Next to the extraordinary performance in jumping and dressage Argus was used as a breeding stallion also in the USA. At the biggest KWPN assessment day in 1987 his offspring won in grand style. In 1988 his foals won more premium classes than any other stallion. Over 1997 and 1988 in the US this stallion produced more premium foals than the other stallions combined. In 1989, four out of ten highest placed foals were by Argus. At Argus’ offspring evaluation in Holland he received a first premium for offspring that were “excellent and consistent in type, legs, body and movement”. He passes on a wonderful temperament, and the foals show much power from the hind legs. In Holland the first crop of foals by him have grown out to be good sporting horses. He has a high breeding index for both dressage and jumping.

Argus’s sire Pion is by the famous TB Abgar, who sired many famous jumping horses. Pion also sired stallions Aktion (keur) and Democraat. Aktion performed at GP level dressage and Democraat performed both in dressage and jumping. His dam Rozetta was awarded both Preferent and Prestatie.
