This easy traditional white bread recipe is so easy to make in the bread machine! Even beginner bread makers can make this bread. This traditional loaf of bread is made entirely in the Zojirushi bread machine, but any bread machine will work! It uses simple ingredients and will allow you to have a good, basic, homemade loaf of bread for sandwiches, french toast, or a snack anytime you need it! Robyn on the Farm's Bread Machine Traditional White Bread Recipe:
2 lb loaf:
1 1/3 c hot water
2.5 Tbs melted butter
4 1/4 c bread flour
4 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp dry milk powder
2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
Put into bread maker (I recommend this one: https://amzn.to/3zhgOwS) in order listed. Set on basic loaf, light crust. Press start and let your bread machine work its magic! I recommend checking after about 3 minutes to be sure the ingredients are not stuck to the side of the bread pan (be sure you have a good ball of dough--if too sticky, add about 1/8 c more flour). Get out of bread machine immediately when done and brush with butter and cover with tea towel to let cool for soft crust. Slice and enjoy!
1 lb Loaf:
Hot water: 2/3 cup
Melted butter: 1 tablespoon
Bread flour: 2 cups
Sugar: 2 tablespoons
Dry milk powder: 1 tablespoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon
Yeast: 1 teaspoon
1.5 lb Loaf:
Hot water: 1 cup
Melted butter: 2 tablespoons
Bread flour: 3 cups
Sugar: 3 tablespoons
Dry milk powder: 1.5 tablespoons
Salt: 1.5 teaspoons
Yeast: 1.5 teaspoons
