Описание: In the video I laser my pastures/property to flow irrigation water, I flood irrigate which is no different that a mass rain event. My fields have a 0.00% slope in one direction and .25% to .50% in the other direction to flow water. I have no swales anywhere on my property. I’ve put berms around ever irrigated fields . Water can not flow out of any areas, so on flood events the water flows to the low end of the field hits the berm and now has no other option besides to back up up slope which spreads and slows the water. With a swale and berm on contour with a low spot to dump water you will never have the holding capacity with just berms on contour and berms  perpendicular to contour. The whole swales and berm concept is only about 50% of what it could be or less. Take the swales out and just build berms in a # layout. The more sloped your property has closer the berms are together. Keep the rain right where it falls as much as possible.
