You would have seen in a previous video these hens when they were only chicks.
They are now 5-6 months old, all laying and consuming a lot of chook food. We have five hens.
We also now have five resident bush turkeys, or brush turkeys as they are also known. Yes, the bush turkeys are mixing with our chickens.
We’re getting between two and four eggs each day from the hens.
Our cat, Aya, watches on.
This video is good example of what the term ‘pecking order’ means.
