A very suspicious chicken feast (Stone marten family/Steinmarder/Husmår) (best at 1080p)

Описание: Yesterday I carved up a freshly butchered cockerel for the freezer. A part of the leftovers (neck, gizzard, and liver) I put out for the martens last night.. in big pieces.
Thing is, the usual fare of meat is mostly cooked meat, like cold cuts and scraps and such, and they're used to it being there. I think this in their mind is 'what these strange creatures throw out or leave behind'. Martens are known to raid garbage cans and compost heaps.
A heap of fresh raw meat is different. In their world fresh meat does not drop from the sky. They're not gonna go 'oh the nice lady made us a feast today' LOL
Fresh meat means a kill. Some other predator's kill. Some predator that will be big enough to have them for supper as well. In other words, when fresh meat is lying around, however tempting, a marten has to be very very careful. They love to scavenge on other predator's kills, but it's dangerous.
Whitey showed up and smelled the meat immediately. Carefully inspecting the entire area from all angles, it took her over 2 hours to decide to snatch some of it. She got a bit braver as the night went on, and carried off everything, piece by piece.
There was no sign of Notch all night. Was she told to stay away from such danger?
Oh, if only my other camera hadn't died, I would have had some traffic from the back as well, to see what was going on with her.
