Bangladesh's shipbuilding industry booming

Bangladesh serves as the last port of call for ageing ships throughout the world.

But alongside some of the world's biggest ship breakers, there is a boom in shipbuilding in the country.

The global economic crisis has meant many shipping companies have cancelled their big orders, so the yards of Bangladesh are building smaller and cheaper ships instead.

Al Jazeera's Nicolas Haque reports from the southern port city of Chittagong.
