बिहार के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार ने राज्यसभा में अपना नामांकन दाखिल किया. लंबे समय के बाद वह राष्ट्रीय राजनीति में सांसद के रूप में प्रवेश करेंगे.केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने नीतीश कुमार का राज्यसभा के नामांकन के लिए उनका स्वागत किया. उन्होंने कहा कि नीतीश कुमार ने अपने लंबे राजनीतिक करियर में बिहार को जंगलराज से मुक्त किया और राज्य की सड़कों, गांवों और बिजली जैसी बुनियादी सुविधाओं को मजबूत किया. अमित शाह ने बताया कि नीतीश कुमार हमेशा सादगी, शुचिता और उच्चतम सार्वजनिक मूल्यों के पक्षधर रहे हैं. उन्होंने 1974 के जयप्रकाश आंदोलन से लेकर आज तक जनता की सेवा में जीवन समर्पित किया. उन्होंने कहा कि नीतीश कुमार के मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में किए गए विकास कार्य हमेशा बिहारवासियों की यादों में रहेंगे. अब राज्यसभा में जाकर भी वह बिहार और देश के लिए योगदान देते रहेंगे.
