Описание: Scale-out architecture for energy efficient servers & microservers.
Recent analysis demonstrates that powerful single-cores waste a lot of energy when they are taxed with numerous “small” processes, typical in a part of the Cloud. Scale out theory, which involves distributing tasks over a large number of computing nodes, reduces energy waste. Leti and the other Euroserver project partners improved and implemented this theory. Not only did they replace the traditional server architectures, these microservers could also provide an opportunity to decentralize a part of the processes toward users, taking some of the burden off of the cloud and making new applications possible.
