Former Met Police Detective Chief inspector, Mike Neville joins Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss a woman who says she no longer trusts the police after her underwear was stolen by a officer searching her house.
Marcin Zielinski, 47, was working for Hertfordshire Police when he carried out the Section 32 search in September 2024.
The former police officer from St Albans, admitted to one charge of theft and a charge of corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges and was jailed for four months this week.
It comes as the annual crime survey results show that faith in the police has crumbled, with less than half of people thinking officers are doing a good job.
Kevin says: “You have to sympathise with that poor lady - unbelievable.”
