Taste Test #2, Brads Atomic Grape

Описание: Welcome back to another episode of "Fun in Tim's Garden". In this episode, we have yet another taste test. Today we are trying Brad’s Atomic Grape. Before we get to the taste, just take a look at this tomato. It has a conical shape, kind of like a bomb, thus its name. But also look at the coloring and striping. It is has shades of green, yellow, red, blue and everything in between. It’s texture is more like a pickle than a tomato. That means when you cut it or bite it, it isn’t soft, juicy, and messy. Instead, it’s crisp and firm and the juice will likely squirt as you bite. . On my first try, the unexpected texture only added to the pleasure. Finally, the taste, Yes there is a tomato taste, but this tomato is also sweet. It is the only tomato I have tried that I consistently describe as tasting like candy.

It’s wonderful in salads, on a sandwich or mixed with other tomatoes to compliment their flavor in a sauce. I used it tonight in a mixture of two other tomatoes, some onion, garlic and cilantro to make some salsa. I thought and was told it was delicious but judging by how fast it disapeard, I guess I have to let actions speak louder than words. Enjoy!
