Living Local and UH teamed up on Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2023, when the Baraquio 'ohana and friends hosted the Help Maui Music Fest, a Livestream Benefit Concert simulcast from Hawaii and California to raise funds for those impacted by the Lahaina wildfires. 100% of all donations went directly to the University of Hawai'i Foundation's "Help Maui Fund" ❤️‍🔥🌴🤟🏽

This unique 4-hour musical fundraiser featured stories of community support and resilience as well as special performances by top local artists in Hawai'i, and the Asian American Pacific Islander community in California. Mahalo nui to all the performers who stepped up for Maui and donated their talents for the Living Local production from Hawaii: Eric Lee & Keoni Kū, Hoku Zuttermeister, Kamuela Kahoano, Kimié Miner, Kawika Kahiapo, Makana, Mākaha Sons, and Poetic Impact (Nathan Cook) and from California: Alex Ritchie, Joni Llamedo, Josh Kamuela Chang, Tini Grey and more.
