The biggest debate going around Australia in the sporting communities at the moment! Who does Grand Finals better, Aussie Rules or Rugby League?
So to settle this once and for all, I went to my first NRL Granny yesterday! But I didn't goto the recent AFL GF, so I had to bring my best mate who did... Rhys Mathieson!
The AFL Grand Final between Brisbane Lions vs Sydney Swans was held at the MCG in front of 100,000+ fans. It was a one sided affair though, with the Lions winning by 60 points with most new viewers claiming it was a boring spectacle to watch. Katy Perry performed before the game and was great.
The NRL Grand Final between now 4peat Penrith Panthers and the Melbourne Storm in front of 80,000 fans at Accor Stadium (didn't sell out the game). I thought the game was lack luster but that was mainly the crowds involvement, low scoring but for the genuine league fan it was a great game to watch! Aussie hip hop artist Kid Laroi was opening act.
Big shoutout to Joe Fortune who at the very last minute secured Flights, accom and tickets to the game. Really appreciated it! #joefortune
