The second entry in the short series giving you an inside experience of what conservation work is like inside the Amazon Rainforest.
The notorious Belén Market is home to the largest market illegally selling wildlife in the Peruvian Amazon. With no access to Iquitos by any roads, the remote market is a key hub that much of the Amazon's trafficked wildlife is funneled through, and is infamous for its prohibited sale of wildlife and bushmeat, most notably, a known location to buy and sell jaguars skins, fangs, claws, and bones. This video documents a small extent of the wildlife being exploited at this controversial market.
