Boyfriend is taken out by Girlfriend to meet her uncle figure, former Soviet baritone, Mr. Trololo. After being acquainted with one another, Mr T accepts Boyfriend and invites him to sing with him. Boyfriend accepts! They have a stellar time as they enjoy singing Mr Trololo's timely songs, when suddenly he falls ill, and things take a turn for the worse.

This mod includes a total of 14 songs, an expanded story from the original first update and the V2 demo, complete with revamps made to dated and old assets. Two difficulty levels are available: "CANON" for those who want to play the mod as intended and seek a challenge, and "CASUAL" for those who prefer a more relaxed experience.

The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., which consists primarily of Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game is also open-source. It shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution, PaRappa the Rapper, and the "Dance Contest" minigame from Club Penguin, and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site that rose in popularity in the early 2000s.
