In this video I wanted to showcase how I separate the sleeves from the body when I finish the yoke in seamless top-down knitting and the cast-on method that is my favourite to combine the fronts to the the back and to make a sturdy but flexible edge for the underarm.
You just need to know how to knit and purl for this technique - there are no specific finicky cast-on movements involved - just a twist on the way the loop of the stitch is put back onto the needle.
I also showcase how I usually place the side-marker in the middle of the cast-on stitches. It's a simple way to avoid frustration when trying to work around the marker during cast on.
