History of the Brussels Metro and Premetro, from the opening of the first premetro line in 1969, to the opening of the second phase of the future Line 3 in 2029, operated by the Société des Transports Intercommunaux de Bruxelles/Maatschappij voor het Intercommunaal Vervoer te Brussel (Brussels Public Transport Company).
Note on station names: Where separate Flemish and French names exist, I have chosen the name that I deem to be more accessible to English-language viewers. Where they are close, I have tried to use both in the text, separated by a "/".
