Описание: The Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (WWBKP) is a statutory body that provides various welfare services to the workers and their families in the province. The WWBKP was established in 1971 under the Worker Welfare Fund Ordinance, and functions under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development.

The WWBKP aims to ensure the basic rights of the workers, such as the right to decent work, freedom of association, equal opportunity, and protection against discrimination. The WWBKP also offers a range of benefits to the workers, such as:

Housing: The WWBKP has constructed residential colonies, workers cities, and community centers for the workers and their families.
Education: The WWBKP operates working folks grammar schools, technical and vocational institutes, and merit scholarships for the children of the workers.
Health: The WWBKP provides medical care centers, hospitals, and health insurance schemes for the workers and their families.
Social Security: The WWBKP grants financial assistance to the workers and their families in case of death, marriage, disability, or retirement.

The WWBKP is funded by the contributions from the establishments with profits exceeding Rs. 500,000/- in an accounting year, the residual of profits distributed under the company’s profit act, and the income from investments made by the board/fund.

The WWBKP is managed by a nine-member board, comprising of official members, employers, and employees/workers representatives, headed by the Secretary Labor, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as the Chairman of the Board.
