Hatfield & McCoy Trails WV Trip Review - RZR Riding, Cabins, Trail Info, Recommendations

Описание: We spent 4 days riding the legendary Hatfield and McCoy Trails in West Virginia, and they did not disappoint! This was our first time in the area and we learned so much about the trails, rules, towns, and of course the history. Below is our trip info:

Cabin: Billy Goat Mountain Village in the Rocky Top Cabin. Can be found on Airbnb and at their website here: https://www.billygoatmountainwv.com

Itinerary:
Day 1- Drive from Michigan, settle in, unload, dinner, then quick ride to get stickers, explore a small section of Buffalo Mountain Trail.

Day 2-Ride Buffalo Mountain Trail. Visit Almost Heaven Swing and Death Rock. Lunch in Williamson WV at Sazon. Explored the downtown area (Coal House and The Collective). Hit the rest of the Buffalo Mountain Trails. Dinner at 3 Guys Pizza and Brew. Bonfire at our cabin.

Day 3-Ride Devil Anse Trail. Visit the Goat at the Devils Backbone, drive through the tunnel under the King Coal Highway, visited the Hatfield Family Cemetery. Late Lunch at Trailhead Bar & Grill in Matewan WV. Finished out the Devil Anse Trails. Went on an airboat tour with Hatfield McCoy Airboat Tours. Explored the towns history at the Matewan Depot Replica Museum.

Day 4- Ride Ivy Branch Trail. Pack a lunch and enjoy by the river. Finish out the Ivy Branch system. Head to Charleston for an evening exploring the State Capital and grab dinner.
