Sen. Slotkin presses NSA Director nominee over concerns of domestic surveillance on Americans

Описание: Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, a former CIA analyst, is worried the Trump administration could order the National Security Agency to spy on Americans because of their political views or speech, according to the Associated Press.

"Should there ever be a suggestion that we target American citizens with NSA capabilities...can you answer for me if the Secretary of Defense or the President of the United States asks you to put NSA or military personnel, people or tools or assets, targeted at American citizens who don't have a link to a foreign terrorist organization, will you reject that?" asked Slotkin.

Slotkin is one of several Democratic lawmakers who say they face criminal investigation by the Trump Administration after appearing in a video urging service members to resist illegal orders, the AP reported.
