After the immense success of a one seat ride from base to summit on the South Side with the addition of the Tremblant Express in 1988, this Doppelmayr detachable quad was built in 1991 to provide the same level of service on the North Side. The time to reach the summit was cut from 20+ minutes on two fixed grip lifts, to just 8 minutes on one lift. This allowed multiple redundant lifts to be decommissioned, cutting costs and increasing the efficiency of the operation.
The length is 7670 feet and the vertical is 1712 feet. The design capacity is 2800/hr at a speed of 1000 fpm, but it's only going about 900 here.
