If I Could Block the Storms'
This song came from my heart as a parent and as a child.
It reflects how I felt about my own children, the way my mother and father loved and protected me, and how they were always at my rescue — from the time I was born until the day they passed. That kind of love never leaves you.
I had one son and a grandson who passed away, and I carry their memories with me every day. I also have one daughter a grandson and two granddaughters. I’m trying to guide today, and this song holds those feelings too — love that protects, love that remembers, and love that keeps showing up.
I wanted this song to speak especially to fathers and sons. Sometimes men feel deeply but don’t always have the words to express it. My hope is that this song can say what some hearts feel but never learned how to say out loud — love, protection, and presence.
If this song brings comfort, understanding, or connection to someone who needs it, then it has done what it was meant to do.
