These highlights are from the "1980 NASL Goals Of The Year" highlight tape released from the league, and both [at least certainly the Best goal] are from the 5-1 demolition of the Whitecaps from July 26, 1980 at then-Civic Stadium. John Bain had the other goal, Bain had a hat trick and Best had the other two goals and the featured assist.
Clyde Best, of course, an early club legend. Played for the Timbers from 1977-81, scoring 38 goals and was probably our best NASL player. Viva Portland & Clyde Best!
