When God brings conviction into our lives, our instinct is often avoidance instead of surrender. We try to ignore it, endure it, or work our way out of it, but none of those approaches bring relief.
In this message, Pastor James Pritchard walks through Psalm 39 alongside Acts 26:14, exposing three empty responses to Jesus’ conviction:
• Trying to suppress it and hoping it goes away
• Trying to suffer through it until it ends
• Trying to stay busy and sweat it out
Each approach fails because conviction isn’t meant to be escaped, it’s meant to lead us to Christ.
Psalm 39 shows us the only real solution: surrender.
Surrender that brings rescue from sin.
Surrender that brings relief from discipline.
Surrender that restores our relationship with God.
