After the bulk of the muckpile has been mucked out and trucked to the surface, the face needs to be cleaned up and guide lines painted before drilling can begin. A consequence of using jacklegs in a 10'x10', we usually leave about 5 yards at the face as a platform to drill the upper part of the round, then come back in and dig out space to drill the lifters.
On the delay between videos: I have a huge backlog of footage that I'll be editing and uploading over the next month or so. Editing time has been in short supply. It's also challenging to identify and film new and interesting stories while working. An endless cycle of drill/blast/muck/bolt is our bread and butter but doesn't always make for great viewing. Fortunately we have some interesting near-term developments and plans that I'll be working to bring to YouTube...
