One of the most complex arbitration tilesets to master, Alator features many spawnpoints and very high enemy spawn frequencies that enables 1.6x the amount of kills that Cinxia would provide. This extremely high spawn density allows VE yields far greater than a very high end Cinxia would reward squads with (850+ VE).
In contrast to Cinxia however, many of the spawnpoints are hidden behind many obstacles, such that there isn't a very feasible and accessible way to spawncamp enemies with a typical 2x Ogris DPS comp. To combat this, we utilize a Cyte-09 to nuke these groups of enemies with the assistance of his infinite terrain punch-through granted by his Seek (1st ability), alongside Acid Shells Sobek to explode the packs instantly.
While Cyte-09 has a much better method of nuking spawns in comparison to the global Ogris strategy, the constant swarms of enemies combined with the tedious looting pathing makes spawncamping via Sobek very difficult to maintain at times, so it is still advised to have an Ogris to help control any leaks that appears.
The necessity to maintain a high, constant kill rate while simultaneously looting all the VE drops makes this one of the most intensive performance tests for both the dps and the supports within the squad. For players wanting a very rewarding arbitration alert, Alator is one to consider mastering.
This guide aims to provide a quick debrief of the spawnpoints located around the map for DPS assistance, and rotations/niche strategies used in the example runs.
After playtesting the defense variants (Spear/Kadesh), I've found great success in obtaining S-tier like VE yields (500-570+VE/48mins for 102W), and can confidently recommend it as a worthwhile arbitration alert to play. Similar to Sechura however, you will have to roll for the correct tileset (i.e. the spawn room that has the pipe hole opening; NOT THE STAIRCASE), which means that DDing isn't guaranteed. The defense variants can be completed very fast, but will require a well-coordinated Cyte/Saryn to obtain S-tier like yields. Anchoring spots can either be at the spawn (not 100% foolproof, but as long as you pay attention to leaks before they run out of enemy radar distance, it's relatively safe. If you're using this spot, you need to carefully anchor OP as to not AI bug the run), or at the camp spot (most dangerous but least prone to AI bugging, recommended only if you have a consistent Vazarin support/if you wanted to bring Loki for Safeguard Switch).
