August 15th is sacrosanct to Mbaise people just as 25th of December is sacrosanct to Christians all over the world as Mbaise Sons and daughters celebrate the annual Iri Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival wherever they are , if not present at the home soil.
The 2024 edition hosted by Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government is a departure from the aberrations undermining the essence and sanctity of the festival hence why we said sanity has been restored to Iri Ji Mbaise.
It was a mammoth gathering as usual as great sons and daughters of Mbaise as well as their friends, colleagues and well-wishers from neighbouring communities. Corporate sponsors took sponsorship bid and slots to connect with their customers, native food of various types in display, cultural performances and many side attractions accentuated the arena.
It was nothing short of glamour, communal glee and spectacle.
