Ingredients:
Tamatar (tomatoes): 1/2 kg
Sabith zeera (cumin seeds): 1 teaspoon
Methi dana (fenugreek seeds): 1/2 teaspoon
Kalonji (black seeds): 1/4th teaspoon
Sukhe lal mirch (whole dried red chillies): 5
Lehsan ki pothi (garlic cloves): 5
Haldi powder (turmeric powder): 1/2 teaspoon
Bareek namak (salt): 3/4th teaspoon
Lal mirch powder (red chilli powder): 1 1/2 teaspoon
Kariyapath (curry leaves): a handful
Sabith hari mirch (whole green chillies): 4
Tel (oil): 2 tablespoons
Procedure:
1. Cooking pan mein tel daliye.
2. Jab tel garam ho jaaye, is mein sabith zeera, methi dana, kalonji, sabith rai ya mustard seeds aur sabith sukhe lal mirch daliye.
3. In sabko talne ke baad, kuti hui lehsan ki pothi daliye.
4. Is mein haldi powder, bareek namak, lal mirch powder aur kate hue tamatar daliye.
5. Achhi tarah se milakar dhakkan dhaanp dijiye aur medium aanch par pakaiyye ke tamatar gal jaayein.
6. Tel (oil) chhootne tak ise bhooniye.
7. Is mein kariyapath aur sabith hari mirchein daliye.
8. Do minute (2 min) tak dheemi aanch par pakaiyye.
Tamatar ki Chutney tayyar hai. Khichdi aur kheema ya Saade chawal (plain rice) aur tale hue gosht (fried mutton) ke saath serve kijiye.
