এই বৈঠককে বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক সংকট নিরসনে একটি সম্ভাব্য "টার্নিং পয়েন্ট" হিসেবে দেখা হচ্ছে। রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকরা মনে করছেন, এই আলোচনার মাধ্যমে সঙ্কট সমাধানের একটি ভিত্তি তৈরি হতে পারে এবং দেশের গণতন্ত্রে উত্তরণের দুয়ার খুলবে।
বিএনপির পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে যে, এই বৈঠকটি "ওয়ান টু ওয়ান" এবং রুদ্ধদ্বার হবে। বৈঠকে আগামী জাতীয় নির্বাচনের সময়সূচি, নির্দলীয় সরকারের দাবি এবং দেশের চলমান রাজনৈতিক অস্থিরতা নিয়ে আলোচনা হতে পারে। বিএনপি মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর এই বৈঠককে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন এবং আশা প্রকাশ করেছেন যে এটি বাংলাদেশের রাজনীতিতে নতুন মাত্রা যোগ করবে।
এই বৈঠককে কেন্দ্র করে লন্ডনে প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের মধ্যেও ব্যাপক আগ্রহ তৈরি হয়েছে। অনেকেই মনে করছেন, এটি দেশের জন্য আশার বার্তা নিয়ে আসতে পারে।
