12ft skiff sailing Interdominion held in Auckland, New Zealand in 2016.
This is the last day and last race of the regatta. We chose to use second rig and spent most of the upwind beat with our main inside out.
We learnt from our mistakes in the previous race that the right hand side of the course is favoured. After we get clear air off the start line we tacked out right and rounded the top mark in 2nd place. Unfortunately the boats that round the mark behind us get onto a strong gust and swamp us by the end of the first downwind run. Its a close battle for the rest of the race as we cross the line in 7th place.
