and Thusis. One of the most beautiful mountain passes in the Swiss Alps (Rhaetian Alps). The road, led by narrow rocky ledges, impresses with its majesty. In winter, the pass is closed due to high snowfall and falling avalanches that are characteristic of this place.
ALbula pass has also entered the history of Swiss and European railways, a railway line called Albula Railway, entered on the UNESCO heritage list due to the construction of the route, with spiral bends, tunnels (eg Albula Tunnel Prada - Brever ) or viaducts (Landwasserviadukt) was run through the valley. The lines can be admired from the panoramic trains that run on this route, the Bernina Express or the Glacier Express, which run from Zermatt to St. Moritz.
