WARNING: It can be dangerous to be in the wilderness in extreme weather. To hike in such weather, it's essential to well equipped. Gore-Tex material outfit from head to toe and warm shelter are required. I brought 900 fill down jacket, R-value 5.7 sleeping pad, negative 20 degree F rating sleeping bag.

We planed to hike up 4 mile trail, camp at Glacier point and come down via Panorama trail.
When we arrived Yosemite Saturday morning, there was not much snow. 4 mile trail was opened and a park ranger issued the wilderness permit allowing us to camp at Glacier point. But shortly after, it started snowing heavily until 2pm.
As the cliff section 1 mile before Glacier point was impassable due to the snow, we tried to make a detour to Sentinel Dome. But we couldn't make it before sunset because the deep fresh snow slowed us down significantly. So we decided to turn around. Nonetheless, it was an absolutely beautiful trip.
