I'm a Doctoral Candidate in Leadership, but more importantly, I am a survivor. I grew up in the chaos of addiction as the child of two drug addicts, and have walked the long road from that deeply traumatic childhood to a life of purpose and strength. On this channel, we bridge that hard-won lived experience with rigorous academic research to create a real, actionable blueprint for healing. It's the reality of growing up in a home made terrifying by my parents' drug and alcohol parties. It's the story of stumbling onto pornography in the sixth grade, and of losing my father to a terminal illness on Father's Day in 1992, just two days before my 16th birthday. I share these parts of my journey not for sympathy, but to build a deeply empathetic community and prove that you are not alone in your struggle. Our journey is a dynamic conversation, not a one-way lecture. Through our regular "Ask Me Anything (AMA)" segments, we build our community by directly addressing your questions. To deepen our understanding, we also feature "Expert Conversations," bringing leading therapists and researchers to the table to provide a well-rounded and trustworthy perspective on healing.
