I was 14 years old when my parents gave me out a church in what I thought was to develop my talent. Instead, I spent more of the years learning not to be gay. I spent years believing that loving another man was sinful. The 'group' exposed me to both physical and psychological torture. Nobody should go through it. But, unfortunately, in my country, Uganda, it is a common practice.
I still get insults from my former friends, and also, the church community feel betrayed by me.
