lesson 23/25. it wasn't until i found myself in monocultural places with dominant ethnic groups that i realised this wasn't the norm everywhere in the world.
growing up in a multicultural society made me subconsciously appreciate and celebrate difference. to be around others that looked and sounded different to me but not bat an eye. it allowed myself to feel at home in places i'd never visited before, and to fuse different parts of cultures i have no bloodline connection to into my own values... and i'm so grateful for that
