Pazham Puliserry is sweet and sour, coconut and yogurt based curry. It is more or less like Moru curry. Acutally there is not much difference except that pulissery generally makes use of seasonal fruits like Pineapples, Nendram Pazham/Plantain, Mangoes, whereas vegetables like Yam, Ash gourd, Cucumber, Papaya, Pumpkin,etc are added to Moru curry. . The tasty dish goes well with white hot rice. Do give a try and Enjoy!

Pazham Pulissery Recipe is a wonderful twist on a traditional pulissery that we all know. It is usually has vegetables like ash gourd that is added into the curry but here in this recipe we have created a twist by adding ripened banana that compliments well with the flavor of ground coconut mixture and curd. It is also considered to be a part of baby food that you can make it with less spices.
Serve the Pazham Pulissery Recipe along with Steamed Rice, Pavakkai Poriyal Recipe and Elai Vadam for a wholesome lunch or dinner.
Pazham pulissery is a sweet and tangy dish prepared for festivals like Onam, Vishu etc… We used to prepare pulissery with mango, grape, banana etc. Usually, pulissery will have a sweet tangy taste because of the ripe fruits. If you want more sweetness in pulissery, you can add sugar or jaggery.
