4-star Ecrin Blanc Resort located between Courchevel Village (1550) and Courchevel Moriond (1650) is a unique and new hotel (fairly new anyway - opened Dec 2019). It has a ski-in ski-out location which is not uncommon but what is impressive is that it has it's own chairlift located just outside this 4-star hotel AND a direct underground access to the AQUAMOTION, the largest water park complex facility in the French Alps (FREE access to the Aquamotion when staying at the Ecrin Blanc Resort).

In this video review of the Ecrin Blanc Resort, I take you through the hotel facilities, the suite where I will be staying as well as the Aquamotion complex.

AQUAMOTION
This state of the art swimming complex is perfect for kids and adults alike. It gives you the opportunity to rest those mountain legs in one of the two pools. You can also take advantage of the indoor-outdoor pool, jacuzzi, salt pool, hammams and saunas. Aquasmotion also offers massage & beauty treatments. There is also a climbing wall and a mini-wave pool to test your surf skills.

Not only has he explored the French Alps while on holidays from his current home in Australia, he has also spent much of his childhood & adolescence on these remarkable mountains.

From just 2 years old until he was 15, Gilles was fortunate enough to visit his family-owned home at a ski resort in the French Alps called Valfréjus. Every school holiday, his loved ones and himself would leave their home in Paris and enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of this stunning mountain region. It was here that he developed a sincere love for the sport of skiing, as well as a wealth of knowledge regarding the best places to stay and ski. These memories stayed with him long after he moved to Australia as a teen.

After school, Gilles spent the first decade of his career working in the travel and tourism industry selling worldwide ski holidays to the Australian market. However, Gilles knew he had more to offer so he decided to venture out on his own.
