Brazzaville → Kinshasa (Africa) – 14 minutes

Stronsay → Sanday (Scotland, Orkney Islands) – ~4 minutes

Minami-Daito → Kita-Daito (Japan) – ~3 minutes

Westray → Papa Westray (Scotland) – 53 seconds

These are the 5 shortest commercial flights in the world.
Number 5 is the flight from Saint Martin to Saint Barthelemy in the Caribbean. Just 15 minutes flight time.
For number 4 we move to Africa for the flight between Brazzaville to Kinshasa. Being separated by the Congo river, for some is more convenient to take the 14 minutes long flight than a boat.
Moving to Europe, in Scotland’s Orkney Islands to find the third shortest flight in the world. This is a 4 minutes flight between Stronsay an Sanday islands
The second shortest flight is in Japan. A quick island hop between Minami-Daito and Kita-Daito will take only 3 minutes.
And for the shortest flight in the world we have to come back to Europe and also to Scotland. Only 2.7 kilometers separate Westray to Papa Westray and the flight between the two is just 53 seconds. I’m sure there is no time for safety briefings.
