Описание: On Tuesday, 06 Jan 2025, the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors (BOS) voted 3-2 to close the Mono Vista Fire Station, Tuolumne County Fire 56. They claim the closure is needed in order to meet the county's budget.
To be clear, the majority of Tuolumne County has been rated by CalFire to be a High Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ).
The Raging Grannies of Tuolumne & Calaveras (RGTC) opposes the BOS's decision to close a critical necessity for our county. We sing this song to show our support of CalFire and to offer a way to keep our fire stations open.

If there's a fire,… who will put it out?
Cutting fire departments leaves us all in doubt!
They rely on County taxes & that is simply fact-es

We really need to get priorities straight
Cutting fire departments really isn’t great
It might save some mo-oney but we do not want to see
All the people shaking heads when it's too late.

They save our forests & they save our lands
There's EMT's that offer helping hands
They save lives and property,…important to you and me
Let's support them in every way we can.

They all are heroes every single day
The Board of Supervisors need to pay
Certain things are more important
So we really should not short them
We want our fire stations all to stay!

Vote in a fire fee to help them out
Every fire fighter deserves to hear us shout
They are a necessity, so let's raise a fire fee
Cuz we know how much we need them there's no doubt
