Running on fumes, I showed up in TN to hunt with my buddy Jason Heathcoe. We gave it a good run, but the gobbler we found was just too henned up and we made one mistake that cost us. Went back to Bama and called up a gaggle of jakes. Then made one last trip to TN to hopefully make use of that expensive license. Took my then girlfriend along and she proved to be my good luck charm, as we bested a cagey public land gobbler in the the sleet and snow.
