Описание: Berlin Cathedral is a monumental German Protestant church and dynastic tomb (House of Hohenzollern) on the Museum Island in central Berlin. Having its origins as a castle chapel for the Berlin Palace, several structures have served to house the church since the 15th century. Following the Reformation in 1539, the church transitioned from Catholicism to Lutheranism under Elector Joachim II Hector. The elaborate interiors reflected his unique blend of Catholic-style grandeur and Protestant theology. Despite its name, it’s not a true cathedral, as it has never been the seat of a bishop.
