It’s the capital of Italy and one of the cities of the ancient world, home to the Trevi Fountain and other elaborate fountains—2 of which feature obelisks of different origins—famous statues like that of Victor Emmanuel II, the gardens of Villa Borghese, and various ruins, including the most iconic in the nation: the Roman Colosseum.
