Straddle compression is key to a lot of deadlifts: invert, iguana, shoulder mounts. Being able to fold makes you smaller and therefore easier to lift. This exercise also helps our bodies learn how to maintain lovely straddle legs and to engage the knees throughout the movement.

What to do?
➡️ 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕 arm positon must be maintained throughout
➡️ 𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒈𝒆 the knees to keep them straight
➡️ 𝒄𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒍𝒆 the legs as wide as you feel comfortable
❌ do not let your shoulders come up to your ears! Keep them back and down to have a strong upper body throughout.
✔ if you don't have a pole, complete the same movements without the arms involved.
