A forensic pathologist has ruled out drug use and underlying health issues as the cause of George Floyd’s death.
The testimony is crucial to the case as it goes against Derek Chauvin’s defence the tactics he used were not responsible for Mr Floyd’s death.
Derek Chauvin is facing charges for second degree unintentional murder, third degree murder, and second degree manslaughter.
The testimony came from forensic pathologist Dr Lindsey Thomas who trained the person who carried out the autopsy on Mr Floyd.
Dr Thomas is the third witness who has come to the same conclusion Mr Floyd did not die from a drug overdose.
