Day 1 started early in Bengaluru with that familiar feeling you get before a long ride… a little quiet, a little exciting. The roads towards Puducherry opened up nicely, and somewhere along the way the city noise faded and the ride finally found its rhythm.
Reaching Pondy felt good. We wandered through the French quarters, sat by the water for a bit, and just let the day slow down after all those kilometres.

For Day 2, we take off to Rameshwaram. It’s a long stretch — a little over 400 km — but that’s the kind of day that makes a trip like this memorable.

Day 2 started like we never even stopped. 😬
It’s funny how the body complains a little in the morning, but the moment the engine fires up, everything just falls back into place. And before we knew it, we were off into what became one crazy day—450 km wrapped up in 10 hours.

The morning wasn’t perfect. A few hiccups, a few moments where we wondered if the day was going to fight us. But then the rain gods decided to flip the script. Instead of slowing us down, the drizzle turned into the perfect blessing - cool winds, clean roads, and a sky that stayed kind to us ALL DAY. That kind of weather just hits different when you’re on a long ride.

Tamil Nadu truly showed us why it’s loved by riders everywhere. Long stretches of smooth tarmac, fields that shift from green to gold, people who wave at you with the warmest smiles, and that unmistakable feeling of calm rural life all around you. It’s a state where culture sits quietly in the air, you don’t need signboards, you just feel it.

And then came the highlight, our detour from Thanjavur.
We could’ve stuck to the usual route… but no. We chose adventure. We drifted off the main path and took the roads along the Indian coastline. Absolutely worth it. The salty breeze, the open horizons, village roads brushing the edges of the sea, and that sense of riding right next to the country’s heartbeat, it was magical in a way photos can never fully capture.

A day that began with uncertainty but ended as one of those rare, unforgettable experiences that stay with you long after the ride is over.
