Which propeller | why we changed from a Maxprop to a Bruntons Autoprop

Описание: Propellers on sailboats are doubly important. You need your prop to give you the maximum efficient thrust, both forward and reverse. But you also need it to not compromise your sailing ability by inflicting too much drag.
So should you pick a standard fixed propellor, a folding propellor or a feathering propellor? They all have specific advantages and some major disadvantages so it pays to do your homework and learn a few technical aspects of how these propellors perform.
In this video we go through ass the technical aspects, skew and pitch, talk about drag and the importance of the leading edge. If like us you have a long keeled boat then having a propellor that has good grip in reverse is key to being able to manoeuvre well so we will talk about what you need to achieve that.
