PREP FIBER AND SPIN WITH ME

Описание: Today I take you along as I prep 500 grams of Corriedale fibre and then spin it up! I am certainly no expert spinner but am having lots of fun trying out new methods and techniques. For my fibre prep I decided to spin each ply separately: One with the lavender and seal grey and the second a mixture of all the greys. I split all my colours into different lengths and rolled them up into little nests so as I spin I can grab the nests and blend the colours. I was hoping to not have too intense striping as I planned to use this for a sweater and didn't want to contend with different length stripes on the yoke, body and sleeves.

This has taken me a little while to post (I'm 41 weeks pregnant in some of the spinning clips!) so I'll also share some shots of the finished yarn and finished garment in the end! I started to get worried about running out of yarn so ended up striping it with some alpaca/acrylic charcoal from my stash however ended up with a good amount of yarn left so likely did not need to do so. I hope you enjoy watching me bring this fiber from fluff to finished object!
