This video is about the sign of the buttock, which may indicate ischial bursitis, a neoplasm, an abscess in the buttock, or hip pathology.
To perform this test, first carry out a straight leg raise. As soon as the straight leg raise is limited, flex the patient’s knee and see if you can further increase hip flexion. If this is not the case, then we are dealing with a positive sign of the buttock, which is an indication of ischial bursitis, neoplasms, an abscess in the buttock, or pathology of the hip.
